technical expertise
15 years professional experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Premier Pro, After Effects, and Acrobat. Design projects that are prevalent in my day-to-day workload that have utilised the Adobe Suite have included publications, print media ads, large format outdoor media, presentations, press correspondence, animations, photography, videography, digital banners, and social media content. 4 years professional experience in canva.
design principles, trends & accessibility.
Having completed my Bachelor of Design at Billy Blue College through Swinburne University, I have a thorough understanding of the principles and elements of design, and I regularly research new and upcoming trends. Working at Fred Hollows has inspired me to further my design learning to ensure the content I produce meets best accessibility practices. I’ve also attended external courses in Indesign Accessibility practices, to ensure that my designed documents can be read by assistive technologies.
brand design & management.
Over 10 years branding management and content creation experience. I’ve developed and maintained branded material for a wide range of clients, topics and mediums. As the first in-house designer at The Fred Hollows Foundation, I re-developed the style guide to include updated branding and identity design. I was responsible for designing and rolling out updated materials, including the production of new internal documents, large format outdoor media, print, and digital template designs.
digital marketing & production.
Strategised, created content, sourced media, and scheduled posts using scheduling platforms such as Hootsuite. Built off monthly reporting, I’ve implemented strategies to drive growth across digital channels. I’ve produced and managed website content through CMS platforms such as Drupal and Wordpress, and designed digital content for EDM campaigns, using both MailChimp and Campaign Monitor CRM systems.
print
production
Strong expertise in creating finished artwork in various print formats. At LUSH I was responsible for the design and set up of files for printing and point of sales needs – including ordering signage, lightbox designs, and large format creative hoarding for over forty stores. High level brand colour management, including proofing for colour consistency using GMG colour management software. I’ve attended pre-press print runs to adjust and approve ink levels for long form printed materials.
project management.
G-suite, Microsoft Suite, Trello, Miro, Slack and Teams are my regular go-to platforms to streamline communications, develop marketing calendars, and project manage tasks. My time management skills have ensured I am calm under pressure, and my work maintains a high level of detail and quality.
photography & videography.
My work at Vine Street Studios (previously CAS Agency) enabled me to produce photographic imagery that has been used across numerous campaigns, such as photographic content for Freedom, Proactiv, Jigsaw and David Lawrence. Throughout my career I have continued to produce photography, videography (including editing) and animated content.
stakeholder engagement.
I have experience communicating with, leading, and guiding teams from different departments, time zones, and cultures. I have trained new members, implemented strategies to meet team KPIs, lead and participated in creative workshopping activities, and ran training sessions. I’ve managed briefed content, overseen design creation, consulted external producers and suppliers, sought approval from senior support members such as directors, and determined the cost and potential ROI of output costs.
creativity.
Creativity. I’ve won awards for my illustrations and paintings as a prior member of Art Societies. I am an illustrator and I constantly push myself to improve. At Fred Hollows I illustrated a renowned photograph of Professor Fred Hollows to help promote our ‘Fred Hollows on Google’ Campaign. I am passionate about learning new creative techniques, and am eager to continue to utilise my diverse creative skills within my design projects.
copywriting.
My career has required me to develop and deliver clear communications strategies across business initiatives. I’ve gained experience in issue-based research that saw me writing and editing materials to support company core projects, simplifying complex issues for our audience.
